Activities and Fundraising Events
The students of "Egg in Nest" art studio Apex NC have been working hard to produce some remarkable artwork for a very worthy cause. Many of these children have been students of Jenny Eggleston for numerous years. Jenny not only teaches art in her classes but encourages the children to be creative in other ways such as giving back to the community and fund raising.
The project this fall is to support the "COTA for Marie Neal" fundraising efforts.
In keeping with the cause the theme of their art work is "LIVE" and the word itself is featured in every piece at least once.
Jenny and Gayla Bonke, owner and chef from Chatham Street Cafe are joining forces to create an art show and raise funds for Marie's liver transplant.
This heartfelt collection of art work will be on display in the restaurant from October 27th - November 30th. Egg in Nest Studio and Chatham Street Cafe will be selling "donation tickets" at a suggested cost of $10.00 each throughout the course of the show.
The value of these tickets is threefold:
• The cost of the ticket is a direct donation to the fund.
• Can be used to attend the Open House Event on Sunday November 8th, at Chatham Street Cafe; where there will be live music, light refreshments and games for the children. There will also be wine and desserts available for purchase and 15% of all purchases will go into the fund.
• Take the ticket to Chatham Street Cafe any time during the art show and 15% of your purchase will go back to the fund.
There will also be donation boxes at the studio and Chatham Street Cafe.
